In this workshop, Jeanne Leach will provide tips on how to perform sample substantive fiction edits quicker and easier. How much of a sample fiction edit is necessary for substantive content? How in-depth should an editor go when doing a sample edit? How much should you charge? How do you handle the situation where someone says they want a copyedit, but you discover they need a substantive edit? In addition to answering these questions, Jeanne will also discuss the assessment sheet she uses to show clients which techniques the client needs to know and work on.
