Description
Discover how to find purpose in your work, even if your clients don’t always appreciate it. Interspersed with different stories about discovering how to thrive even when unappreciated as a classroom teacher, I plan to talk about the importance of:
- Having a strong personal network you can fall back on when you struggle with self-doubt
- How to find fulfillment in results instead of approval
- How to focus more on the positive comments than the negative ones
- How to ultimately find your worth and value as an editor in God
I also plan to lean in on the fact that I’m mostly an author (not an editor, aside from doing article dev edits) to be able to speak more strongly about the value of what editors do for authors.
